Guido Celano — Biography

Guido Celano was born on 19 April 1904 in Francavilla al Mare, Italy, and died on 7 March 1988 in Rome. Beyond acting, he worked as a voice actor, film director and producer, building a career that spanned nearly six decades.

Beginning with Rails in 1930, he went on to appear in close to 120 productions, including Italian historical and adventure films such as Barabbas, Fabiola, Attila, Boccaccio, Sword of the Conqueror and Goliath and the Vampires, as well as international co-productions like The Tiger of Eschnapur and The Indian Tomb. He also took a role in Alain Robbe-Grillet's L'Immortelle.

Alongside acting, Celano directed two spaghetti Westerns, Cold Killer and Piluk, the Timid One (Gun Shy Piluk). One of his final screen credits, Via Paradiso, was released in 1988, the year of his death.
