The Devil's Lantern

The Devil's Lantern (original title: La lanterna del diavolo) is a 1931 Italian drama film directed by Carlo Campogalliani. It tells the tormented love story between a bandit chief and a young girl, and stands among the early sound-era productions of Italian cinema.

Shot at the Cines Studios in Rome, the film stars Nella Maria Bonora, Donatella Neri, and Carlo Gualandri, with Letizia Quaranta, Raimondo Van Riel, and Guido Celano also appearing in the cast. Running about 70 minutes, it was produced by Cines, one of the leading Italian studios of the period.
