Seven Hours of Trouble

Seven Hours of Trouble (original title: Sette ore di guai) is a 1951 Italian comedy film co-directed by Vittorio Metz and Marcello Marchesi, who also wrote the screenplay together with Age & Scarpelli. The film runs about 84 minutes and features music by Pippo Barzizza.

The story revolves around Totò De Pasquale, a modest tailor working in Rome. On the day of his son's christening, he faces the threat of foreclosure over unpaid debts, and the situation spirals into chaos when the nanny loses the baby. While searching for the child, a chain of misunderstandings leads the whole town to mistake him for a kidnapper, plunging him into a frantic chase.

The film stars Totò, Isa Barzizza, and Carlo Campanini, with supporting turns by Guido Celano, Clelia Matania, and a young Giulietta Masina. It stands as a lively example of the fast-paced Italian comedy tradition of its era.
