Rudeness

Rudeness (original Italian title Lo sgarbo, French title Le Châtiment) is a 1975 Italian drama film directed by Marino Girolami. Written by Antonio Margheriti and Luigi Russo, with music by Vasili Kojucharov and production by Gabriele Crisanti, the film stars Guido Celano, Karin Schubert and Nello Pazzafini.

The story follows Salvatore, a young mafia member sent back to Sicily from America after running into trouble with the Cosa Nostra. Placed under the protection of Don Mimì, Palermo's wheelchair-bound boss, Salvatore falls in love with the boss's young mistress Marina, and their forbidden affair sets off a bloody chain of revenge. Shot mainly at the Incir-de Paolis studios in Rome, with additional filming in Palermo and Paris, the film was released in Italy on 11 May 1975.
