Young Husbands (Giovani mariti)
Giovani mariti (released internationally as Young Husbands) is a 1958 comedy directed by Mauro Bolognini. A co-production between Italy and France, it was shot in 1957 and released the following year, with an original Italian-language version running about 98 minutes.
The principal roles are played by Isabelle Corey, Antonio Cifariello and Franco Interlenghi, with support from Gérard Blain, Sylva Koscina, Antonella Lualdi, Anna Maria Guarnieri, Lyla Rocco, Raf Mattioli and Guido Celano. Bolognini shared writing duties with Pasquale Festa Campanile and Pier Paolo Pasolini.
The picture was selected for competition at the 1958 Cannes Film Festival. Armando Nannuzzi received the Silver Ribbon (Nastro d'Argento) for Best Cinematography for his work on the film.
