Love Doesn't Understand Words (Aşk Laftan Anlamaz) is a Turkish romantic comedy series produced by Bi Yapım that premiered on Show TV on June 15, 2016 and wrapped up with its 31st episode on February 19, 2017. It was directed by Müge Uğurlar from a script by Makbule Kosif and Eda Tezcan. Hayat Uzun, the daughter of a fisherman from Giresun, faces being sent home for an arranged marriage unless she finds work in Istanbul; a case of mistaken identity lands her a job at the multinational textile firm Sarte, assisting the assistant to company head Murat Sarsılmaz. The leads are played by Hande Erçel and Burak Deniz, with Metin Akpınar, Bülent Emrah Parlak, Merve Çağıran, İsmail Ege Şaşmaz and Cem Emüler rounding out the cast. The series aired in more than 30 countries and racked up millions of views on YouTube.
