Cem Emüler — Biography

Cem Emüler is a Turkish film, theatre and television actor, born on 19 April 1962 in Ankara. After graduating from the Ankara University Faculty of Medicine, he turned to the performing arts and trained as an actor at the Hacettepe University Ankara State Conservatory.

On television he appeared in series such as Sonbahar Kadınları (1998), Ayrılsak da Beraberiz (1999), En Son Babalar Duyar (2002), Kadın İsterse (2004) and OKS Anneleri (2007). With his roles in Behzat Ç. Bir Ankara Polisiyesi (2010), Bir Günah Gibi (2011), Çocuklar Duymasın (2013) and Eşkıya Dünyaya Hükümdar Olmaz (2015) he stood out as a strong character actor, and reached wide audiences with the role of Nejat in Aşk Laftan Anlamaz (2016).

Emüler also worked for many years as a faculty member in the Theatre Department of Bilkent University, leaving that post in 2018 and continuing his stage work.
