Elçin Afacan — Biography
Elçin Afacan was born in Istanbul in 1991 and trained at Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University's state conservatory; sources differ on whether her birthday falls on 21 or 25 January.
She first appeared on camera in 2016 through her performance on FOX's talent show Görevimiz Komedi, then made her television debut the same year as Gülçin in Show TV's İçerde, followed by a small part in Deli Gönül. Her breakthrough came in 2019 as Beste Güneş in Bir Aile Hikayesi, and between 2020 and 2021 she reached a wider audience playing Melek "Melo" Yücel in Sen Çal Kapımı. She made her film debut in 2021 with Benden Ne Olur, then took the roles of Reyhan Korkmaz in Seni Kalbime Sakladım and Meryem Yılmaz in Çöp Adam in 2022. Since October 2025 she has played Feray Bakizade in the series Sahtekarlar.
Alongside acting, Afacan also performs in theatre, and has drawn frequent media coverage for a roughly 28-kilogram physical transformation she underwent for a role.
