Başak Gümülcinelioğlu — Biography

Başak Gümülcinelioğlu (born 22 October 1991 in Fatih, Istanbul) is a Turkish actress who trained first as an architect before moving into acting. After studying architecture and design, she went on to study on-camera acting at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Arts and musical theatre in Kansas, in the United States.

She began her career on stage, performing with the Istanbul Folk Theatre and BKM Theatre before moving into television. Gümülcinelioğlu first appeared on screen in Erkenci Kuş (2018) and became widely known for her role as Pırıl Baytekin Sezgin in Sen Çal Kapımı; she went on to appear in productions such as Sipahi (2022), Kül Masalı (2024) and Aşkı Hatırla (2025).

She and her husband Çağrı Çıtanak welcomed a son, Devin, in November 2025. In 2026, she returned to screens playing the character Lale in the series Çirkin, and drew public attention after openly pushing back against criticism of her post-pregnancy appearance.
