You Can't Handcuff Hope (Umuda Kelepçe Vurulmaz) (translated)

Umuda Kelepçe Vurulmaz ("Hope Cannot Be Handcuffed") is a 15-episode Turkish drama produced by Bi Yapım and directed by Cemal Şan, written by Yekta Torun and Hilal Yıldız, that aired on FOX (today's NOW) from November 3, 2016 to February 9, 2017. The story follows seven young offenders from different cities and backgrounds -- among them Onur, Fırat, Azad, Nazlı, Peri and Narin -- who are given a second chance through a reading and education project set up by Onur, the son of a wealthy family, becoming both students and inmates at once. Their teacher İnci, herself born in prison and raised in an orphanage, confronts her own past alongside them, while Mert Yazıcıoğlu, Melisa Şenolsun and Begüm Birgören lead the cast.
