Emir Özden — Biography

Emir Özden was born on October 21, 1996, in Istanbul. He developed an interest in acting during high school, training at the theatre department of Adıgüzel Fine Arts High School before continuing his studies at the theatre department of Kadir Has University. He began his career appearing in television commercials before moving into small television roles.

He made his screen debut in 2012 with the period drama Bir Zamanlar Osmanlı: Kıyam, then built experience through Böyle Bitmesin and Not Defteri before taking a guest role in the popular series Poyraz Karayel. He drew attention playing Kömür, a young man with a difficult past, in the FOX TV youth drama Umuda Kelepçe Vurulmaz. In 2017 he reached a wide audience as Emre in the ATV series Kanatsız Kuşlar, and in 2019 he moved into film, playing Umut Güney in Bilmemek.

His breakout came with TRT 1's ratings hit Masumlar Apartmanı, in which he played Ege, the brother of the character portrayed by Farah Zeynep Abdullah; he then built on that recognition as Tolga, the young lawyer assisting Ceylin, in Kanal D's internationally awarded series Yargı.
