Özlem Başkaya — Biography

Özlem Başkaya was born in 1975 in İstanbul and completed her acting training in the Theatre Department of Ankara University's Faculty of Languages, History and Geography. She began her career in 2000 with the series Baba Ocağı, later playing Gülnaz in Hayat Türküsü and Ziynet Pekcan in Gece Sesleri.

Also active on stage, she was named Best Actress of the Year in the comedy/musical category at the 2nd Sadri Alışık Anadolu Theatre Actor Awards in 2012 for her performance in the play "Henry ve Alice'nin Gizli Yaşamı." On screen she played Serap in the 2018 film Kabir Azabı and Güler in the Fox TV series Umuda Kelepçe Vurulmaz, and she has also taught acting at Art Academy İzmir.

Still active in her career, she has also been linked in 2026 to the cast of the new atv series Aynı Yağmur Altında.
