Rüçhan Çalışkur — Biography

Zeynep Rüçhan Çalışkur is a Turkish theatre, film and television actress born on 13 February 1947 in Trabzon, and is the elder sister of actor Cüneyt Çalışkur. After graduating from the Theatre Department of Ankara University's State Conservatory, she joined the State Theatres company in 1979, spending many years on stages in Ankara and İstanbul.

From 2003 she also began appearing on camera, taking parts in films such as Bulutları Beklerken, Zenne and Elveda Katya, in the series Parmaklıklar Ardında, and later as the character Afet in the series Bir Gece Masalı. Çalışkur also works as a voice actress.
