Paradise Neighborhood (Cennet Mahallesi) (translated)

Cennet Mahallesi is a Turkish comedy television series produced by Erler Film that premiered on Show TV on 11 June 2004 and ran for three seasons, totaling 119 episodes. The series was conceived as a television adaptation of the 1981 film Gırgıriye.

Set in a suburb of Istanbul filled with dance, music and romance, the story follows Sultan, the neighborhood's beloved belly dancer, and Ferhat, a passionate violinist, who are madly in love. A feud that began between their families years earlier keeps the two lovers apart. The same enmity once destroyed the happiness of Sultan's mother Pembe and Ferhat's father Yunus, who had also fallen in love long ago. The ensemble cast includes Müjdat Gezen, Özkan Uğur, Melek Baykal, Zeki Alasya, Çağla Şıkel and Alişan.
