Turgay Tanülkü — Biography

Turgay Tanülkü was born in 1953 in Uşak.

He completed his education at the Theatre Higher Department of the Ankara State Conservatory.

After graduating, Turgay Tanülkü began working at the Ankara State Theatre, and later, in order to develop himself, he attended the drama courses of the Theatre Academy in Leningrad and received training in Psychogymnastics.

A master actor who loved his work greatly and valued art, he founded theatre groups in many parts of Turkey.

He taught acting and stage classes in the Department of Acting at the Dokuz Eylül University Faculty of Stage and Performing Arts.

He received the German Green Party Peace Prize for the plays Laws and People and The Guest, performed by the Players of the Ankara Semi-Open Prison.

He stepped into the world of television in 1991 and took roles in many projects such as Kurtlar Vadisi, Yalan Dünya, Arka Sokaklar, Acı Hayat and Cennet Mahallesi.

He is part of the cast of the series Eşkıya Dünyaya Hükümdar Olmaz, broadcast on ATV, and portrays the character Şahin Ağa.
