Mustafa Üstündağ — Biography
Mustafa Üstündağ was born on 11 February 1977 in Safranbolu, his father's hometown (some sources give Mersin instead), and spent his childhood in Adana. He trained in theatre at the Müjdat Gezen Art Center, performed with companies such as the Kocaeli Regional Theatre and Kartal Art Workshop, and made his screen debut in the series Yılan Hikayesi.
His real breakthrough came as Muro in Kurtlar Vadisi Pusu, a role that later carried over into the film Muro: Nalet Olsun İçimdeki İnsan Sevgisine. He went on to appear in series such as Merhamet, Bana Sevmeyi Anlat and Arka Sokaklar, playing Kara Davud Pasha in Muhteşem Yüzyıl: Kösem, Kahraman Koçovalı in Çukur, and Boran in Eşkıya Dünyaya Hükümdar Olmaz.
On film he has appeared in Zincirbozan, Vay Arkadaş, Gulyabani and Kutsal Damacana 2: İt Men, among others. He married actress Ecem Özkaya in 2010 and had a son with her before the couple divorced in 2020; he married journalist Tuba Kalçık in 2022. He more recently joined the cast of Kuruluş Orhan as Demirhan Bey.
