Mercy (Merhamet) (translated)

Merhamet is a Turkish drama series directed by Çağatay Tosun and written by Mahinur Ergun, adapted from Hande Altaylı's novel "Kahperengi." It aired on Kanal D from February 13, 2013, to March 12, 2014. The story follows Narin, who left her poor, abuse-scarred family thirteen years earlier to become a successful lawyer, as she reunites with her childhood love Fırat and is forced to confront her family's painful past.

Set in the fictional town of Yaslıhan (portrayed as a district of Balıkesir), the series starred Özgü Namal and İbrahim Çelikkol in the lead roles. Spanning 2 seasons and 44 episodes, it was later broadcast in France on Novelas TV in a re-edited, 97-episode version.
