Zincirbozan
Zincirbozan is a 2007 Turkish political drama directed by Atıl İnaç. Its title refers to the military compound in Çanakkale where leading politicians were held in compulsory residence following the military takeover of 12 September 1980.
The story opens with the murder of journalist Abdi İpekçi and follows the mounting wave of political violence, the government's inability to contain it, the armed forces' seizure of power and the subsequent banishment of party leaders, shedding light on lesser-known details of the period. The ensemble features Bülent Emin Yarar as Bülent Ecevit, Suavi Eren as Kenan Evren, Haldun Boysan as Süleyman Demirel and Orhan Aydın as Deniz Baykal, alongside Mustafa Üstündağ, Selen Uçer and Ege Aydan.
