Bülent Emin Yarar — Biography

Born in Ankara in 1961, Bülent Emin Yarar developed an early interest in theatre through childhood outings with his family. While studying voice at Mimar Sinan University's State Conservatory, he began appearing as an extra at the State Theatre and gradually shifted from vocal training toward acting. After graduating in 1989 he started his career at the Diyarbakır State Theatre before joining the Istanbul State Theatre company in the 1994-1995 season.

Alongside his work at the State Theatre, Yarar performed with numerous private companies, including Tiyatro Ti, Tiyatro Stüdyosu, Oyun Atölyesi, Semaver Kumpanya, Dostlar Tiyatrosu and Tiyatro Rast. He was named Best Actor of the Year at the 9th Afife Theatre Awards for his role in Çayhane and again at the 14th Afife Theatre Awards for Profesyonel, playing Hamlet for 13 years and Profesyonel for 16 years. He retired from the State Theatres in January 2026.

He is also known to television and film audiences for his role as a lawyer in the series Süper Baba and for his appearances in films directed by Reha Erdem.
