Selen Uçer — Biography
Leyla Selen Uçer was born on 5 May 1983 in Istanbul. After attending the Austrian High School, she graduated from the Chemistry Department of Boğaziçi University and appeared on stage with the Boğaziçi University Players during her student years. She completed her master's degree in acting at Roosevelt University in Chicago.
Her first film was Dar Alanda Kısa Paslaşmalar (2000), and she became known with the Cinderella episode of Anlat İstanbul; she went on to act in the films Ara (2007), Bornova Bornova (2009), Yabancı (2012), Kumun Tadı (2014) and Kaygı (2017). She won the Golden Orange Best Actress Award for her role in Aşk, Büyü, vs. (2019); Dilberay (2022), Oregon (2023), Tam Bir Centilmen and Evcilik (2024) are among her recent films.
The actress, who has also appeared in series such as Binbir Gece, Hanımın Çiftliği, Çukur, Masumiyet and Kara Tahta, took on the character Altın in the series Anne Yarısı in 2026.
