Love, Spells and All That (Aşk, Büyü vs.)

Love, Spells and All That is a 2019 Turkish drama film written and directed by Ümit Ünal, running 96 minutes. Premiering at the Antalya Golden Orange Film Festival in 2019, it earned Selen Uçer the Best Actress award along with a Behlül Dal Jury Special Prize, and later won Best Film at the 54th Turkish Film Critics Association (SİYAD) Awards and the Golden Tulip in the National Competition of the 39th Istanbul International Film Festival.

The story brings together two women who shared a teenage love affair on Büyükada before being separated when Eren left for university in Paris; twenty years later they reunite on the same island. Their encounter unfolds around the question of whether a love spell Reyhan once had cast, or genuine feeling, has brought Eren back. Selen Uçer and Ece Dizdar lead the cast alongside Ayşenil Şamlıoğlu, and the film was picked up for international distribution by TLA Releasing in 2021.
