Ece Dizdar — Biography

Ece Dizdar was born in 1979 in Istanbul. Because her father was a submarine officer, she spent her childhood in various Turkish cities and abroad. After graduating from the Faculty of Communication at Marmara University, she moved to London and studied acting on a scholarship at the ARTSED academy. She first took the stage in 2003 at the Istanbul State Theatre; she appeared in more than 15 stage plays and translated plays for DOT Theatre.

Her screen career began in 2002 with the series En Son Babalar Duyar. She appeared in series such as Al Yazmalım (2011), Güneşi Beklerken (2013), Fi (2017), Siyah Beyaz Aşk (2017, as İdil), Yasak Elma (2018), Alef (2020), Sipahi (2022) and Düğüm (2024). In cinema she acted in the films Çekmeceler (2015), the Golden Orange-winning Aşk, Büyü vs. (2019) and Mavi Mağara (2024). In 2026 she joined Giray Altınok's series Gustav as Vespera. She is married to the actor Serdar Orçin.
