Erol Erarslan — Biography

Erol Erarslan is a theatre and film actor and folk singer born in Şebinkarahisar, in Giresun province. He became widely known for playing the murder victim Yaşar in Nuri Bilge Ceylan's Bir Zamanlar Anadolu'da (Once Upon a Time in Anatolia, 2011), and later reached television audiences as Haluk in the series Kızılcık Şerbeti.

He began his career on the stage and carried that experience into film and television. In cinema he played Fevzi Çakmak in Taş Mektep (2013) and also appeared in Aslan Parçam (2019) and Şeytanın Kitabı (2022). On television he was in the cast of Karadayı, and then played Haluk in Kızılcık Şerbeti.

Alongside acting he is known as a folk singer. In June 2025 the departure of four actors from Kızılcık Şerbeti was announced, and Erarslan, as Haluk, finished his run on the show that summer.
