Erdal Cindoruk — Biography

Erdal Cindoruk is an actor with more than four decades in theatre, film and television, known to most viewers as Hüseyin Kaya in the TRT 1 series Gönül Dağı. The role, which has run since 2020, brought wide recognition to an actor who had long been seen in supporting parts.

After studying in the Theatre Department of the Adana Municipality Conservatory he became a familiar face in television from the early 2000s: following Tatlı Hayat, Cennet Mahallesi and Avrupa Yakası, he played Üstün Kısa in Kurtlar Vadisi and Chief of Police Ziya in the film Pars: Kiraz Operasyonu. In the 2010s he continued with series such as Şefkat Tepe, Sakarya Fırat, O Hayat Benim, Sen Anlat Karadeniz and Yalaza, and films such as Hop Dedik: Deli Dumrul, Kafes, Figüran and Aile Arasında; in 2013 he also appeared on stage in Nafile Dünya.

More recently he has acted in Gassal and Temiz Para. In January 2025 he left Gönül Dağı to play İsfendiyar in Sen Ağlama İstanbul, but soon rejoined the Gönül Dağı cast. His brother Zafer Doruk is a writer, and his nephews Caner, Münir Can and Taner Cindoruk are also actors.
