Zerrin Sümer — Biography
Zerrin Sümer (born 1945) is a Turkish theatre, film and television actress. She first took the stage in her middle-school years with the theatre group of the Bergama Public Education Center, then studied at the Theatre Department of the Ankara State Conservatory; she turned professional at the State Theatre in her final year and later performed at Ankara Meydan Sahnesi and with BKM.
She became widely known as Telviye Teyze, Mükremin's mother, in Bir Demet Tiyatro (1995). On screen she stood out in Vizontele (2000), Meryem (2013) and as Şengül in Düğün Dernek (2013), and on television in Karım ve Annem (2004), Güzel Köylü and as Dürdane in Gönül Dağı (2020). The veteran actress appeared in the film Sen İnandır in 2023 and made headlines that year by revealing she had married her partner of 22 years; in 2026 she joined the cast of NOW's new series Ömür Usta.
