Lucky Me (Şansımı Seveyim) (translated)

Şansımı Seveyim (Lucky Me) is a 2017 Turkish comedy film directed by Ender Mıhlar and written by Ferhat Ergün. It opened in cinemas on 25 August 2017 after a shoot lasting roughly one month.

The story centres on Sebahattin (Cem Gelinoğlu), a man notorious for the bad luck that seems to follow him everywhere. After a string of mishaps he returns to the old neighbourhood where he grew up, which immediately unsettles the residents, who fear his arrival will bring them fresh trouble. Resigned to his fate, Sebahattin meets a woman named Yaprak (Zeynep Tuğçe Bayat) and begins to believe his fortune has finally turned. There is a catch, however: Yaprak is the sister of Durmuş, a man Sebahattin wronged years earlier, and she will only accept him if he can first earn Durmuş's forgiveness. Together with his best friend İzzet, Sebahattin hatches a plan to set things right and win her heart. The supporting cast includes Gökhan Kıraç, Mustafa Kırantepe, Zerrin Sümer and Ümit Yesin.
