Aybike Esin Tumluer — Biography

Aybike Esin Tumluer is a Turkish theatre and television actress born on 30 January 1988 in Istanbul. She began working in theatre in 1999 at the Barış Manço Culture Center, continuing there until 2005. From 2005 to 2006 she taught at a municipal theatre, and in the summer of 2006 she worked as a drama instructor at a summer school. In 2007 she was accepted into the Theatre Department of the Haliç University Conservatory, where, alongside a part-time internship at Dost Tiyatro, she wrote a three-part play and appeared in a short film for the 11th Short Film and Theatre Biennial. She graduated from the conservatory in 2010.

In 2011 she travelled to Italy and trained in Commedia dell'arte at the Scuola Internazionale dell'Attore Comico, performing a one-woman show at festivals there. On returning to Turkey she joined the alternative theatre group Mekan Artı.

Her first on-screen role came in 2013, playing Diyet Hanife in the series Herşey Yolunda Merkez. She went on to appear in Ah Neriman (2014) and İlişki Durumu Karışık (2015), and in 2017 acted in the feature film Şansımı Seveyim. That same year she played the character Nurten Salıkhan in the Kanal D series Hayati ve Diğerleri.
