Zıkkımın Kökü is a 1993 Turkish comedy-drama and biographical film directed by Memduh Ün. It was adapted from Muzaffer İzgü's book of the same name, in which the author recounts his own childhood. Told through the eyes of a boy named Muzo growing up in a shantytown neighborhood of Adana, the film portrays the daily life of a family struggling with poverty in a single-room dwelling, blending hardship with humor. Its autobiographical source lets it depict urban poverty in the Turkey of the era with the innocence of a child's perspective.

The film drew considerable attention both at home and abroad upon release. It won five awards at the Adana Golden Koza festival, along with the Ministry of Culture Award, the Udaipur Golden Elephant in India, Best Director at the Asturias Film Festival in Spain and Best Film at Cine Junior in Paris. Menderes Samancılar earned SİYAD's best actor award for his performance.
