The Passenger (Yolcu)

Yolcu (The Passenger) is a 1994 Turkish film written and directed by Başar Sabuncu, adapted from a work by Nazım Hikmet Ran. Sabahattin Çetin served as producer, with Belge Film and TRT involved in the production and Hüseyin Özşahin as cinematographer.

The story unfolds during the harsh winter of 1921 at a train station in the middle of a snow-covered, empty plain where trains constantly come and go. It follows three people living as if cut off from the world: Tarık Akan plays the switchman, Halil Ergün the station master, and Müjde Ar the station master's wife.
