Reconciliation (Uzlaşma) (translated)
Reconciliation is a 1991 Turkish political film directed by Oğuzhan Tercan. The story centers on the assassination of journalist Abdi İpekçi and the charged political climate of Türkiye in the period preceding the military coup of 12 September 1980.
Halil Ergün and Nur Sürer star in the film, which looks back on one of the darker chapters of the country's recent past and portrays the social tensions that defined the era.
The film earned the Special Jury Prize at the 1992 Istanbul International Film Festival. That same year, Tercan received the Promising New Director Award at the Ankara International Film Festival.
