To Nisi

To Nisi is a Greek drama series adapted from Victoria Hislop's bestselling novel The Island. It ran on Mega Channel from 11 October 2010 to 23 May 2011, comprising 26 episodes in a single season. Directed by Theo Papadoulakis with an adapted screenplay by Mirella Papaeconomou, it was described as the most expensive Greek television production of its era, with a budget of around €4 million.

Young Alexis, raised in London, travels to the Cretan village of Plaka to uncover the past her mother Sofia long concealed. Through her mother's old friend Fotini, she learns that the small island of Spinalonga opposite the village served as Greece's leper colony for much of the 20th century, and that her family's story was shattered by disease, war and passion beginning in 1939. Filmed entirely on Crete, the series premiered to record ratings. The cast includes Giannis Stankoglou.
