Giannis Stankoglou — Biography

Yannis Stankoglou (Greek: Γιάννης Στάνκογλου; born 10 January 1974 in Thourio, Evros) is a Greek actor. He is a graduate of the Giorgos Kimoulis Drama School.

His film credits include Hardcore (2004), Hostage (2005), The Christmas Tango (2011), Xenia (2014), Cloudy Sunday (2015), Blind Sun (2015), Amerika Square (2016) and The Waiter (2018). On television he appeared in series such as To Nisi (2010), Agries Melisses (2019) and To Navagio (2023).

Stankoglou won the best actor award at the Montelupo Fiorentino film festival in Florence, and in 2019 he received the Hellenic Film Academy award for best supporting actor for his performance in The Waiter.
