Agries Melisses

Agries Melisses (Greek: Άγριες Μέλισσες, "Wild Bees") is a Greek daily period drama series broadcast on ANT1 from 29 September 2019 to 7 July 2022. Filmed in Greek, it ran for three seasons and a total of 421 episodes, and is classed as a drama with a strong romance strand.

The story follows three sisters who, after their father's death, must stand up to Doukas, the wealthiest man in their village, who wants to buy their fields. His son Sergios resolves to marry the eldest sister so that the land will pass to his family; Eleni fights to keep the property, but mounting pressure and financial troubles eventually push her into accepting the marriage — a decision that upends the lives of all three sisters.

The series drew strong ratings in Greece, and according to a 2020 statement by ANT1's general manager its broadcast rights were sold to 11 countries. It was also carried by MBC 4, and in Poland it aired dubbed into Polish on TVP1 and later TVP Kobieta. The cast includes Giannis Stankoglou.
