Nights Without Dawn (Sabahsız Geceler) (translated)

Sabahsız Geceler (“Nights Without Dawn”) is a 1968 Turkish drama film based on the novel of the same name by Peyami Safa. It was directed by Ertem Göreç from a screenplay by Safa Önal, and produced by Berker İnanoğlu.

The story follows Salih, an alcoholic young man adrift in life, as a long-buried family secret forces him to confront doubts over whether Nafiz Bey — the man who raised him — is truly his father. Kartal Tibet stars in the lead role, with Cahit Irgat, Necdet Tosun, and Hüseyin Zan rounding out the cast.
