Kartal Tibet (27 March 1939, Ankara – 1 July 2021) was one of the notable actors and directors of Turkish cinema. He became widely known for portraying the hero 'Tarkan' on screen, and in later years turned mainly to directing, making many popular comedy and drama films. He also worked as a screenwriter.
