My Bee, My Honey, My Honeycomb (Arım, Balım, Peteğim) (translated)

My Bee, My Honey, My Honeycomb is a 1970 Turkish feature film directed by Muzaffer Arslan. Adapted from the 1957 film Love in the Afternoon, the color picture runs 86 minutes and blends romantic drama with musical elements. The screenplay was written jointly by Bülent Oran and Arslan, and the film was produced by Sil Sine Film.

The story opens with private detective Mehmet, who is hired to tail Harun, a notorious society playboy, and uncovers his affair with a businessman's wife. When the husband resolves to have Harun killed, Mehmet's daughter Zeynep goes to warn him and falls in love with him instead. After a brief romance, Harun leaves on a long business trip and abandons her. Zeynep raises his child alone, finishes conservatory training, and starts a career as a singer. Years later she runs into Harun at the nightclub where she performs, and the former couple's paths cross once more.

Türkân Şoray stars as Zeynep opposite Cüneyt Arkın as Harun, with Münir Özkul playing her father Mehmet. The picture, scored by Engin Arman, is also remembered for its title song.
