Yeşim Ceren Bozoğlu — Biography

Born in Ankara on July 29, 1974, Yeşim Ceren Bozoğlu is the granddaughter of engineer Colonel Emin Bozoğlu, who took part in the Devrim Otomobilleri car project. In the year she graduated from the Acting department of Dokuz Eylül University's Faculty of Fine Arts, the one-woman play Kadınlar won her a Young Actress of the Year title from Cumhuriyet newspaper and critic Ayşegül Yüksel. Her career has spanned the state and city theatres as well as Duru Tiyatro, where she has also directed plays; she still teaches acting there in both Turkish and English, and wrote about her experience in the book Dersimiz Oyunculuk.

She moved into television in 1998 with Sıcak Saatler, became known for playing Fikret Eralp in Doktorlar (2006), and reached a career peak as Sevim in Geniş Aile (2009-2011); the improvised film she headlined, Bahtıkara, took the top prize at the İpekyolu festival, and she also joined Lale Mansur and Halit Ergenç in the film Misafir. She went on to appear in O Hayat Benim, Kalbimdeki Deniz, Kuruluş: Osman, Yüzleşme, Annemizi Saklarken and Hayaller ve Hayatlar, and separated in 2010 from Sinan Çalışkanoğlu, whom she had married in 2007.

Since 2025 she has played Zarife in Taşacak Bu Deniz, and has made headlines both for weight she lost through surgery and a diet plan and for reuniting with her childhood sweetheart, Korhan Beba, after thirty years.
