Movie · 2008 · 4 people

Deli Deli Olma (Piano Girl) is a 2009 Turkish comedy-drama film directed by Murat Saraçoğlu from a screenplay by Hazel Sevim Ünsal, and produced by MindWorks Pictures. Released nationwide across Turkey on 17 April 2009, it was shot in Kars and employs the local dialect of Turkish. It is also notable as the final film appearance of veteran actor Tarık Akan.

The story centers on two elderly people, Mişka (Tarık Akan) and Popuç (Şerif Sezer), who are forced to question their histories and reveal long-kept secrets. Mişka descends from the Molokans deported to Eastern Anatolia by the Tsar after the Russo-Turkish War of 1877–78, and becomes the last of his community in the village after his final relative dies. Alongside the leads, the cast includes Zuhal Topal and Yeşim Ceren Bozoğlu. The film opened the Sinema Burada Film Festival in İzmir and screened in competition at the 46th Antalya Golden Orange Film Festival, where it reportedly received a standing ovation.
