Zuhal Topal — Biography

Zuhal Topal was born on 23 September 1976 in Istanbul and trained as an actress at the Theatre Department of the Müjdat Gezen Art Center. She stepped onto the screen in 1993 with the series Yazlıkçılar, and went on to appear in productions such as Çiçek Taksi, Kara Melek, Ruhsar, Dadı, Selena and Sihirli Annem, becoming widely known for playing Suzan in Sihirli Annem and Şükufe in Geniş Aile.

From 1997 onward she also moved into hosting, fronting her own programs on several channels over the years. As presenting increasingly became her main focus, she eventually stepped away from acting altogether and has spoken on air about her reasons for doing so.

She currently hosts Zuhal Topal'la Yemekteyiz on Fox TV, a program in which prospective brides and their mothers-in-law compete in the kitchen. Married to musician Korhan Saygıner, Topal also periodically draws attention through updates about her personal life.
