Gulbeyaz (Gülbeyaz) (translated)

Gülbeyaz is a Turkish adventure and drama television series that began airing on Kanal D on 13 December 2002 and ended after a single season with its 26th episode on 27 June 2003. Directed by Özer Kızıltan and produced by eyeQ production, the series shot its Black Sea scenes in the Amasra and Kurucaşile districts of Bartın, while most of it was filmed in Istanbul.

The story follows the love between Gülbeyaz and Kadir, children of the feuding Dursunoğlu and Demiroğlu families. Leads Şevval Sam and Nejat İşler were joined by Meral Çetinkaya, Kamran Usluer, Bora Ayanoğlu and Yeşim Ceren Bozoğlu. A ratings success in its time, the series featured music by Kâzım Koyuncu, who also appeared in some episodes and gained nationwide fame through it; Gülbeyaz is regarded as a turning point in bringing Black Sea music to wide audiences.
