Özge Borak — Biography

Özge Borak was born on 14 February 1982 in Istanbul. The daughter of Selçuk Borak, head choreographer of the Istanbul State Opera and Ballet, and ballerina Buket Borak, she passed an exam at the age of eight to join the children's section of the City Theatres and grew up on the stage. She graduated from the Theatre Department of the Istanbul State Conservatory.

Borak first appeared on screen in 2003 with the series Kara Gün, but made her real breakthrough in 2005 as Elif in Ihlamurlar Altında. After series such as Eşref Saati, Küçük Kadınlar and Bir Günah Gibi, she became widely known as Müjgan in the Eyyvah Eyvah film trilogy (2010, 2011, 2014). Between 2013 and 2016 she played Nezaket for one hundred episodes of Güldür Güldür Show. She portrayed Begüm in İstanbullu Gelin and Nurgül in the film Dedemin Fişi. In 2022 she won the competition Maske Kimsin Sen? and appeared in the films Akif (2023) and Kum Zambağı (2024). Since late 2025 she has been playing Salkım in the series Kızılcık Şerbeti.
