Akif (dizi)

Akif is a Turkish historical miniseries released in 2023 as a web series. Produced by Kirli Kedi and directed by Selahattin Sancaklı, it was written by Uğur Uzunok, Nurullah Sevimli, and Tacettin Girgin.

The drama stars Fikret Kuşkan and Özge Borak in the leading roles. Kuşkan portrays Mehmet Âkif Ersoy, the poet of the Turkish national anthem, while Borak plays İsmet Hanım. The supporting cast includes Adnan Biricik, Ertan Saban, Okday Korunan, and Erdem Akakçe.

Filmed in İzmit during the autumn of 2021, the series blends drama with historical fiction. Consisting of a single season of thirteen episodes, it premiered on the tabii streaming platform on 7 May 2023.
