Ertan Saban — Biography
Ertan Saban (born 4 December 1977, Skopje) is a Macedonian-Turkish actor and screenwriter of Turkish descent. He graduated from the theatre department of the Macedonian State Conservatory, performed for many years at the Macedonian Turkish Theatre alongside his brother Erman Saban, and later worked in theatre in France.
He moved to Turkey in the early 2000s and turned to film and television; after series such as Sultan Makamı, Sağır Oda and Savcının Karısı, his breakthrough came with the role of Aleks in Elveda Rumeli. He went on to appear in Sakarya Fırat, Kurtlar Vadisi Pusu (2015–2016), Mehmed: Bir Cihan Fatihi (2018), Avlu (2019), Gelsin Hayat Bildiği Gibi (2022–2023) and Yakamoz S-245 (2022).
He played Sakıp in Limonata (2015), which he also co-wrote, and portrayed Atatürk in the 2024 film Bir Cumhuriyet Şarkısı. In 2016 he married actress Ebru Özkan.
