Ata Demirer — Biography

Ali Ata Demirer (born 6 July 1972 in Bursa) is a Turkish actor, stand-up comedian, screenwriter and musician. After finishing his schooling in Bursa, he was admitted to the Turkish Music department of the Istanbul Technical University State Conservatory, but dropped out to devote himself to stage work.

After performing in various venues in the second half of the 1990s, he achieved his breakthrough in 1998 with the one-man show "Tek Kişilik Dev Kadro", whose characters he later carried over to the television show "Korsan TV". He became widely known through the hit sitcom "Avrupa Yakası", earning a reputation for his gift for imitation and accents and a stand-up style recalling the traditional meddah storyteller.

In cinema he wrote and starred in a string of box-office successes, including the Eyyvah Eyvah series, Berlin Kaplanı, Niyazi Gül Dörtnala, Olanlar Oldu, Hedefim Sensin and Bursa Bülbülü, and also appeared in films such as Neredesin Firuze, Osmanlı Cumhuriyeti and Organize İşler Sazan Sarmalı. In 2025 he starred in the Netflix series "Bir İhtimal Daha Var" and toured with his stage show "Ata Demirer Gazinosu".
