Alican Yücesoy — Biography

Alican Yücesoy is a Turkish actor born on 22 October 1982 in Istanbul, who has also written and directed for the screen. After finishing his schooling in Bursa, he trained at the Theatre Department of Haliç University and joined the Bakırköy Municipal Theatres following an audition he took part in soon after enrolling. Early minor parts in productions such as Eyvah Eyvah and Prensesin Uykusu were followed by his breakout lead role opposite Melisa Sözen in the surreal 2012 series Şubat. The following year he joined the cast of İntikam, a Turkish adaptation of the American show Revenge, and later took starring parts in the dramas Kördüğüm and Sen de Gitme. He also took on smaller parts across other well-liked productions, including Suskunlar, Adanalı, Yargı and Zoraki Koca. His work in 125 Years Memory, a film made through joint Turkish and Japanese production, brought him attention beyond Turkey, and he has twice played Mustafa Kemal Atatürk on screen, in the films Zübeyde Analar ve Oğullar as well as Son Osmanlı Yandım Ali.
