Vincent Lindon — Biography

Vincent Lindon, born 15 July 1959 in Boulogne-Billancourt, is a French actor who has also worked as a director and screenwriter. He began his acting career in 1983 and, after several César nominations over the following decades without a win, finally took home the trophy for his lead role in Stéphane Brizé's The Measure of a Man, a performance that swept Cannes, the César ceremony and the International Film Festival of India in a single awards run. He presided over the Cannes main-competition jury in 2022, and two years later took the Volpi Cup for his role in The Quiet Son at the Venice Film Festival. Lindon was married to fellow actor Sandrine Kiberlain, a marriage that later ended; their daughter, Suzanne Lindon, has also gone into acting.
