The School of Flesh (L'École de la chair)

The School of Flesh (original title L'École de la chair; in Turkish, Et Okulu) is a drama that Benoît Jacquot brought to the screen in 1998. Based on Japanese author Yukio Mishima's 1963 novel Nikutai no gakkō, it is a joint effort of France, Belgium and Luxembourg and was entered into the 1998 Cannes Film Festival.

Isabelle Huppert takes the lead as Dominique, with Marthe Keller as Madame Thorpe and Vincent Lindon as Chris. Bernard Le Coq, Danièle Dubroux, François Berléand, Jean-Claude Dauphin, Jean-Louis Richard, Michelle Goddet, Roxane Mesquida, François Vincentelli and Alain Figlarz complete the listed cast.

The screenplay is by Jacques Fieschi. The film was shot in colour, in French, and runs roughly 105 minutes.
