Our History (Notre histoire) (translated)

Notre histoire (Our Story) is a 1984 French film written and directed by Bertrand Blier, starring Alain Delon and Nathalie Baye. Delon plays against type as Robert Avranche, an alcoholic torn between his love of drinking and a woman he met on a train, while Blier also explores the theme of a woman's dissatisfaction. The film runs 110 minutes.

At the 1985 César Awards, the film won two prizes: best actor for Alain Delon and best screenplay for Bertrand Blier. It was also nominated for best editing and best production design, though it failed at the box office. The absurdist drama is also known internationally under the title Separate Rooms.
