I Named Her Feriha (Adını Feriha Koydum) (translated)

Adını Feriha Koydum ("I Named Her Feriha") is a Turkish romantic drama series produced by Med Yapım and broadcast on Show TV from 14 January 2011 to 29 June 2012. It was written by Melis Civelek and Sırma Yanık and directed by Merve Girgin and Barış Yöş.

The story follows Feriha Yılmaz (Hazal Kaya), the bright daughter of a building caretaker, who wins a scholarship to an elite university and hides her modest background, presenting herself as a rich family's daughter. There she meets the wealthy playboy Emir Sarrafoğlu (Çağatay Ulusoy), who falls for her believing she belongs to his world — and Feriha's life of lies grows ever harder to sustain. Vahide Perçin played her mother Zehra and Metin Çekmez her father Rıza; campus scenes were shot at Istanbul Bilgi University and Beykent University, with other filming at the Aksoy Apartment building in Etiler.

Hugely popular with younger audiences, the series ran for 67 episodes over two seasons and was sold to more than 70 countries. A follow-up season, Adını Feriha Koydum: Emir'in Yolu ("Feriha: Emir's Way"), aired from 7 September to 14 December 2012 but proved less successful and ended after 13 episodes. The show also marked Çağatay Ulusoy's first starring role as an actor.
