Yıldıray Şahinler — Biography

Yıldıray Şahinler was born in Istanbul on February 7, 1968. He began his career in the theater, working with the Istanbul City Theaters before becoming one of the founders of the Istanbul Public Theater, where he appeared in numerous award-winning productions. He made his screen debut in 1989 with the series Ayaşlı ve Kiracıları, and gained recognition in film with the character Ali in the 1998 movie Gemide, a role he continued in the sequel Laleli'de Bir Azize.

Building a substantial television filmography through series such as Avrupa Yakası, Elveda Rumeli and Kayıp, Şahinler played Alyanak Hasan in İçerde in 2016 and Mehmet in Ufak Tefek Cinayetler in 2017. In 2019 he took on the role of Hüsrev in Ferhat ile Şirin, while also reaching a wide audience as Hafız in the film Miracle in Cell No. 7 the same year.

In the fall of 2025 he joined the cast of the series Aşk ve Gözyaşı as Yusuf Naci, and in the spring of 2026 he joined Teşkilat in the role of Davut; he departed from the series later that summer.
